Yeah, the season was a bit of a mess but I don't put that at Hartley's feet. Goaltending and special teams were the Flames' downfall this year - if anyone I would point a finger at Gelinas. Treliving better have a SOLID plan in place. Like, the immediate hiring of someone who is a marked upgrade to Hartley. If this turns into one of those drawn out "we need to find the right guy" things then I will not be impressed. Hartley is a better coach than most out there IMO so if he's got to go then we better be getting someone better.

The last time the organization did that we ended up with Treliving over Benning. I'd rather get the right guy than make a snap decision.
