I am still of the view that Nylander is the 6 in the 4-6 ledge Treliving talks about.

Nylander does not have the tenacity and work ethic of some other options but makes up for it in many other areas. I would like to learn more about his character.

OHL Rookie of the Year 2015-16 (although one year older than many past winners). In pretty special company: Previous winners of the award include Wayne Gretzky (Sault Ste. Marie, 1978), Joe Thornton (Sault Ste. Marie, 1996), Rick Nash (London, 2001), John Tavares (Oshawa, 2006), Patrick Kane (London 2007), Taylor Hall (Windsor, 2008), Aaron Ekblad (Barrie, 2012) and Connor McDavid (Erie, 2013).

Watched the OHL and WJC Nylander videos.

High end skill (watch the shootout moves) check
Speed and quickness check
Hockey IQ check
Lightning fast and accurate wrist shot check
Cannon for slapshot check
Right hand shot check

He would complement Bennett and Shinkaruk line well as the finisher on their cycle play.

Could also convert Johnny Hockey shots all day long.

Could play point on powerplay with that howitzer slapshot.

March 1998 birthday so in middle of draft year. 3 months younger than Tkachuk.

The right hand shot with high skill/IQ is too rare to pass up. He has multiple 30+ goal seasons in his career written all over him.

A good consolation prize in the sniper department compared to Laine. Not sure what happened in U18s.
