Honestly the best part about the draft lottery is that none of the top 3 are in the pacific and two are in the east. Could have gone much worse for the Flames.

From an intrigue perspective six is the best spot especially given that we will get one of the players the flames have ranked 4-6. Consider that if we finished 1-3 our selection would have been a slam dunk and no discussion. We couldn't finish 4 and had we held at 5 it would have been either tkachuk or Dubois, whoever fell to us. But picking 6 actually generates more discussion as to who the mystery 6th man on the list is and various scenarios depending on who gets picked ahead of us. Had we picked 1-5, the table would have been already set. But at 6 there will be continued discussion and dialogue for the next 8 weeks.
