So the Flames have the sixth pick. So many options available. The board seems set on Nylander. I am not sold on him. Why because of his size. Yes I know we have a wee star on the team that is smaller. Mangiapanne is not huge either. Yet these were 4th and 6th round picks.
Yet I am not of the school of Big=Good. Whoever came up with that, well it was probably Sutter based off his past drafting. Thats just a stupid mentality!
I just dont see the value at 6th taking Nylander. Not a bad pick but one that could go later in the draft as well.
Normally I hate trading down. Despise it actually. Yet the group of players to choose from is a pretty good group 1 2 3 4 spots lower. Trading down could still net us Nylander. Fans on this board are opposed to Dmen. Lot of good dmen available too.
Honestly no matter what we do we get a player. Another asset aka pick by trading down might allow us to overpay a little to solve our goalie issue.
Not opposed to trading up either. Top 3 are set in stone, forget about trading into the top 3. Vancouver and Edmonton might listen to trade talks though.
