Do the Flames factor NHL readiness into their decision, given the team's situation? The forwards at 4-8 seem to be on pretty equal footing, so I'd say yes. But their choice may already be made for them by 6.

Personally, I want Tkachuk to go back to London next season. I'm really interested in seeing how inflated his stats were with Marner and Dvorak moving on to their respective pro careers. IMO, I feel like Dubois would be more NHL ready than Tkachuk.
Take Tkachuk away from those two players and you'll see how close he is to NHL ready. Not worried if he dominates the OHL next year, just means the gamble paid off taking him so high. I mean that too. Out of all the top 5 picks Tkchuk has the highest bust potential because of the team he played for.
