That's right. They don't need this years player to be an immediate impact so trading down does make sense in any case.
Treliving is the preacher of bullets in the chamber. If you can get yet another 2nd you have more ammo to make a trade to address a need and still be able to pick more than once in the 2nd. If you can trade down and grab a player you really like, grab more assets to make a trade for a #1 goalie and still draft two more players in the 2nd, I'd do it 10 times out of ten. There's glorious opportunity here.
