Hasn't really had the goaltending luck on his side in those game 7s and has faced some pretty strong goalies in each of those games. I would have no issue if it was announced that Boudreau was head coach in Calgary - the guys lack of playoff success has pretty much come down to not getting the breaks in game 7. |
Interesting that his goaltenders have crapped the bed for him. SV% can be a team stat but a goaltender standing on his head can make up for that but it appears that's not been the case for his teams while the opposing teams goaltenders more than not have had very good days. Still the coach has to take some of the blame here.
Still though he's proven that he will get his team to the playoffs every season and his teams have very good regular seasons. That's half the battle in today's NHL. Nice to have that almost guaranteed.
