Whether this is something that is actually more human can be debated, as peter12 said it very well could be not that humane at all.
Fact of the matter is that this type of food is obviously important to a lot of consumers and no canadian beef supplier can meet earls demand, yet. They were quite open and honest that they valued this certification more than serving Canadian beef.
