looking up the stats, some of the offensive numbers are interesting
- 8th in the league in OBP at .328
- 2nd worse in the league in strikeouts with 195 strikeouts in 21 games (Angels lead the league with 104 strikeouts)
- 4th worse in the league for grounding out into double plays with 19 (Mets lead the league with only 7 GIDPs)
So they are striking out a lot, but yet still getting on base. They are also grounding into double plays a lot. Yet, our offense is still average with those stats.
If they can move their strikeouts and GIDPs to the average in the league, their run production should spike up. It will be interesting to see their numbers against non-AL East teams.
