Looks like there's going to be an investigation. Of note is that Nenshi said to council today that nobody asked questions about how he knew certain people slipped through the Uber screening process.

One journalist (Trevor Scot Howell) has tweeted that what Nenshi said is "patently false", and that the question was repeatedly asked but never answered.

Also, Nenshi said this today:

“I made allegations than it went further than that, and that’s not fair. That’s not right. The limit of my knowledge … is that we know anecdotally that someone slipped through. And I’m very sorry that I made it sound like there was a lot more to it than that,” Nenshi said.

Keep in mind that in video, he said the city "sent" sex offenders to become Uber drivers.
