I know these are proud, competitive guys, but I do gotta wonder when players on the wrong side of 30 are going to start realizing their market value is declining rapidly. The NHL today is a fast, young man's game. You lose a step and stop producing, and you're done. Teams are all up against their payroll/cap, and they'll bring in a young guy on an entry-level contract before they'll give significant cap space to declining players who can't stick in the top six. Maybe these guys have to swallow their pride and take what they can get just to stay in the league.
