I actually think he's much better than MacLean as Strombo is more of a proper host who presents information and interviews/mediates discussions. MacLean IMO was a self-promoter and as the years passed the show became more about him and his opinions. I do wish Strombo would not wear the earrings during broadcasts. I just don't find it professional for a major sports host. Before anyone jumps on me I have two ear piercings and I have nothing against them but this is HNIC not his own talk show or music entertainment programming. I feel this is an instant turnoff to older viewers and no matter how well he does it's just ammunition for viewers not to like him.
