All I can say is given the choice, go for the 2.5 tonne. We only get a handful of really hot days, and with an undersized unit you will be fighting an uphill battle. Add to that you will also be limiting your cooking choices on those days.

Then there's the other days where it was supposed to get to 24, but it actually got to 28 and now you need to turn on the AC to recover. Or the biggest reason, a day like yesterday where it wasn't that hot out, but my bedroom was 24 degrees. Turned on the AC and got it down to 22 right away.

What is the price difference? A few hundred dollars?
