Engelland's contract is very reasonable for his performance. Raymond and Smid would be hard to move. Wideman's contract is unfavourable for us but not necessarily for other teams. Don't really see any other unfavourable contracts, what five players are you talking about?
4. Treliving and Burke have gone on record saying they aren't philosophically opposed to retaining salary if it made sense
5. You can get what, 800-900k more free cap space by demoting Raymond

Probably Stajan, Raymond, Engelland, Wideman and Smid. That's 5 contracts that are hard to move. Wideman has a no movement clause and is overpaid by about 1.5 million. Smid and Raymond are not NHLers and Stajan is 2.5 million overpaid. Engelland is about 1 million overpaid. Since Bollig is still a 300K cap hit if he's buried in the minors, I think he would also qualify.
