Instead "best player out side the NHL" and pencilled in with Hudler for offense was too much for a slight player to adjust to.

All of this and he was sick to start his career with the Flames. Blood clot issues meant he couldn't train at all leading up to the season, didn't get into the abbreviated training camp and missed the first three games.
Guy's a bit of a wuss of a hockey player but he could probably play in the NHL, so many cards stacked against him to start his career. Jay Feaster's overselling amongst them.
