Cecil...I can live with human error, live, in real time, but, the rule for the challenge DOES currently exist...
My complaint about Hitchcock was this quote: "When you play against the defending Cup champions, you are going to have to fight through a lot of stuff...If we expect to beat Chicago in this series, we are going to have to fight through more than just Chicago. They are a hell of a hockey club...there are other elements, that we are going to have to fight through..."
The bolded is what I am throwing the BS flag at...an indirect swipe at the league and it's officials. The 'Hawks HAVE been on the losing end of the majority of review calls, this season. I think the blanket implication that the league plays favorites, is both incorrect, and wrong, in this case. If you go back to OOT threads where I was able to post during the games, I was usually shocked, if the refs or Toronto, gave a call to the 'Hawks on the road. The tendency appeared to be close calls go to the home team. In this case it didn't, to my surprise.
I can see where there is unhappiness about the disruption of game flow, due to the review process...but...there is also unhappiness with incorrect calls, and, if the technology, and the rules allow it, getting the call right is not such a bad thing.
