b) Indigenous self-determination in Canada currently involves a benighted group of people groaning under the weight of real political and moral enslavement by their tribalist thug leaders, and an indifferent Canadian polity. Kind of a joke if you ask me - like asking a group of slaves in the South whether they would like to stay on the plantation or be let loose into the wilderness to die of malaria, vigilantes, and neglect. Of course they will choose the plantation every single time.

I am entirely sure that some formulation of abolition of the reserves is essential, just don't think it is an overnight solution or that integration is the eventual best outcome.
