I think there is more to it than that but it's hard to define. A leader is on one side of the spectrum, and a poor teammate is on the other. Where does Kadri fall? I don't see how any fan could know but it is a real thing IMO. It's like the type A, type B person debate. There is some merit to it and it would affect the dynamics of hockey team, as a team is comrised of people, after all. I think that an inspiring teammate could increase a team's performance slightly just as a headcase might bring everyone down just a bit. I've seen a bad employee single handedly destroy morale in a department before, I think the same is possible on a hockey team, to an extent.
I will say that any time it's brought up on the internet, it's 99.9% guaranteed to be baseless speculation. How can any fan truly know? They would have to be a part of the day-to-day operations of the team.
