I think a lot of this has to do with the outcome of the draft lottery. If we jump up to the top 3, then you can pencil in that guy in your top 6 immediately and probably can ignore free agency up front. If we stay at 5 or even drop a spot or two, it's either Chychrun or a forward who'll need another year of development. If they draft Chychrun, I'd expect them to go hard after a big-name UFA winger.

If they draft Dubois/Tkachuk/Nylander/whoever, I'd expect a spot to be open for Jankowski, Poirier or another forward.
