I get the impression he is going to either pick the team he wants like Boston or goes to the situation he thinks is the best fit long term. Shocking anyone would turn down a shot at playing in the playoffs on the top 6 and get paid right away.
If Toronto adds Matthews and Stamkos I could see him going there. The only reason I can see him going to Boston is due to wanting to live in the city not for the hockey team. NY and Chicago always seem to attract UFA's so they would have to be in the mix.
I certainly take him on the Flames but I can't see him picking Calgary out of the 30 teams considering we finished bottom 5 and are located in western Canada. As I mentioned above if he wants to play with Gaudreau that is an option but in the same token he would consider Edmonton and a chance to play with McDavid or Buffalo with Eichel
