Well I think overall he had a stronger year last year and that is where some people are disappointed. But it could be a bit of a case of over-scouting in Chychrun's case. A lot of these super highly regarded guys are seen so often that you start to pick apart their games so much you can overemphasize their current shortcomings or start to question their upside. Recent examples of this happening that I can remember off the top of my head include Aaron Ekblad who seems to have turned out fine and John Tavares who seems to have turned out fine. Obviously Ekblad and Tavares were more highly ranked but had similar questions about whether they should drop or not in their draft year.

There's an example of an independent scout who still thinks Chychrun is a franchise defender and therefore he has him #2 right now. Wouldn't surprise me if a few teams feel that way as well (that he's a franchise d-man) although I suspect many would still have Laine ahead of him and therefore have him #3 or #4.
It's interesting. It'll depend on the individual teams and how their head scout and OHL scouts view him. I suspect there will be a difference of opinion. Wouldn't surprise me if a team has him as high as #3. Wouldn't surprise me if a team has him as low as #10. I think this draft is wide open after the first 3.
If I had to guess I would guess the Flames have him top 6. Wouldn't surprise me if he was as high as #4 for the Flames.
