Default Would you bring Iggy back at the deadline if playoffs bound?

Colorado would love to get his salary off the books just like we would like to get Wideman off the books. Iginla's lack of tools makes him such a poor fit that he would become enemy of the state by the end of his first month with the team. If you put nostalgia aside, there is no reason to even consider Jarome Iginla as a viable player for this hockey team. He has nothing left in the tank and should have retired after his run with Boston.

Someone mentioned that the Flames should offer him a one day contract so he can retire a Flame, like they did with Regehr and Vernon. I don't think it comes to that. Iginla, unlike the other players, has no connection to Calgary. It was a means to an end for him. It was where he lived while he made millions playing a game. When he was traded he had his house sold and packed up before the playoffs began. Doesn't seem like the actions of a guy with any vested interest in the city. I wonder if the Flames extended the offer if he would accept without a guarantee of a jersey retirement? As I said, he has no connection or vested interest in the city or the team. He moved on and I think he is the type of guy that doesn't look back.

I agree with the first paragraph but where did that second paragraph come from? Bitter!
