Facts about 2015-16 Iginla:
- 3rd liner in a non-playoff team, plays about 15 minutes per night
- Worst +/- on his team by a huge margin (closest forward is his linemate Blake Comeau at -9, Iginla is at -22).
- He's a powerplay specialist (13/21 goals on the PP).
- Cap hit of $5.3M
I don't see him as a guy that a playoff team would even want, because he's such a defensive liability. His best use would be on a rebuilding team to draw crowds and put up some goals while waiting for that high draft pick.

Nah. Backlund and Bennett are better with a wide margin, Frolik is clearly better as he's just way more versatile.
Had we not traded a top 6 forward in Hudler, Iginla wouldn't have been a top 6 forward in Calgary this season. Like he wasn't in Colorado. Neither is a playoff team.
Heck, whether or not he's better than Joe Colborne at this point is a matter of taste. The points are about the same.
