Would you bring Iggy back at the deadline if playoffs bound?
Since this topic pops up a lot around different threads now and then let's address it.
Iggy has said or at least hinted that the prospect of playing with someone as creative as Gaudreau would be fun/enticing and acknowledged that the team has some great young players on its core.
With the Avs now out of it again and his current contract to expire after next season while Colorado doesn't look to be taking another step soon, but likely to meander as a bubble team with its defensive issues, the remainder of Iggy's career will soon be in question. So, if the Flames look poised to return to the post-season next season (after hopefully some steps taken this summer), would you pick up an expiring Iggy to have a chance to help his old team take the next step and bring his career full circle?
If we find some success next season, then he would be brought in to compliment our depth more likely than, say, play on the top line.
Or would rehashing of the past be redundant or that history not be good for the dressing room?
