That was the right call regardless of what rules regime is in place (this year or last), and a stupid play by Bautista.
Not bunting was a ridiculous decision by a manager who has a history of making some pretty poor decisions.
That said, who really cares? It's 1 game. We win tomorrow and we take 3 of 4 in Tampa which is a notorious Blue Jays slaughtering ground. I would have been happy with a split to start the season in Tampa.

Browbeating people who don't agree with you turns people away from participating in this thread. You're encouraged to share your opinion, but realize you are probably wrong at least as often as anyone else, so accusing anyone who doesn't agree with you of "blindly supporting the Blue Jays" makes you look like a pompous jerk.
In this case I would maybe agree with you, but since I don't want to be painted with the same brush as you, you are on your own.
