Why would they trade for a more expensive far worse player (Wideman) and 2 prospects who have shown nothing?
The other possibility is doing a 3 way trade with another team supplying a D man.

No, I didn't. My response was to the "Awful for the Isles". Regardless what you think, if that's what Snow is looking for, then the man with a GM job in the NHL disagrees with you.
As for targeting a forward, that's not what you said. There are quite a few Dmen that have produced at similar clips as Okposo this year (within 10 pts). So perhaps I did misunderstand your second point, but that could be due to the poor explanation.
