Like others have noted, Hamonic's value is really high based on his VERY friendly cap hit.
I used Wideman as the example because his contract expires after next season, which actually can add value on a uncertain commodity as it doesn't leave the acquiring team handcuffed. The other 2 players are close enough to contribute very soon if not now, which the Isles need to round out their top 7 D.

Andersson and Kylington are 3-4 years away. Those are not the kind of players Snow needs to build a winner around JT ATM.

So again, a player with experience like Wideman to fill the void left behind from Hamonic and 2 players who have proven they can compete at the NHL level and are on ELC's who Snow can control.

Edit: I'm not saying this is the deal that is going g to happen. A similar package could be offered by many teams. But what teams that are on Hamonics wished destination, have the assets to pull this kind of deal off?

Pretty much only the Flames because their D prospect pool is sooo deep.

With Jokipakka and Nakladal showi g they are able to keep up, that allows some movement of on the cusp Dmen as they know Andersson and Kylington will be along in a few years. Not to mention, Morrison and others are also in the fold.
