I'm starting to think that I've been really close minded about this whole thing.

I've been of the opinion that Zack Snyder is a bit of a twit, and representative of 'that guy in the office who is really good at filling out forms', but is it possible that he's playing a grand game that surpasses all of my myopic projections?

Maybe he's constructing a universe of a 'team' of sociopathic monsters, rambling from city to city killing at will, mindless and uncaring in their destruction. Batman at the beginning of the film is angry that Superman is killing at such a high level, that he must find a way to again be the top killer in this universe.

From movie to movie, the slaughter becomes more personal and grotesque, until all of the world's beloved heroes are torn from our childhood memories, and all that is left behind is a hollow cavern of sadness and hate.

Now that's some deep Snyder storytelling. Weak plots and execution aside, of course.
