Prior to the trade deadline last year, the Jays were down attendance wise. They were averaging 28,938 (which would translate to 2.34 million over 81 games). The Jays averaged over 44,000 per game after the deadline.
Based on the Jays historical support and what they've already sold, even a bad team should average 30,000 per game this year even if the team were to tank. But another solid season should help some of those bandwagoners become more dedicated fans in the long run.
