Some are quite cynical when it comes to goaltending. The Flames need an average to good one and we're playoff bound apparently. Because our goalies are crap, we're terrible but not a terrible team.
Take the Penguins and MAF is a bad goalie but Pittsburgh is constantly playoff and success bound. The argument defies logic.
MAF is a very good goalie and established. He's won the show and constantly got them to the show.
I'd certainly hope the Flames try with a decent offer if they can snag him if he ever became available.
