OK well either way I think they are both pretty common theories about Batman killing the joker. I wasn't trying to pull a fast one. I was intentionally putting forward a different opinion. And if you're so literal that you're reading the scripts to these comic books in order to interpret them all I have to say is you need to open your mind and it will be a lot more fun.
