Ok, so I asked some people at work, aquatics specialists about this driving on the dry river bed along the Bow and they don't think it is an issue unless people are kicking up the gravel/rocks and exposing the sediment below, which wouldn't otherwise happen naturally (unless flood or other such events).

Sounds like if people are just driving on the rocks/gravel then it won't affect the spawning areas for the fish in the Bow. But if people are tearing up the river bed and creating ruts, then there is an issue. And obviously other things such as oil leaks or other chemicals that can come from vehicles can get into the water.

I have been down by the Glenmore bridge numerous times and I don't see any ruts or people driving like maniacs down there. That is likely why the CO's aren't too concerned about it.
