Really? That bird was in last episode as well. It's watching them for someone (Yoda?). At least that's my take on it. And I think the blast separated Vader and Ashoka, she left out the bottom of the temple and Vader left the same way he came in. I do not think Ahsoka is dead. Maybe she is done though, kind of a walk off into the sunset kind of moment there. EDIT: The walk into the darkness could be a precurser to her turning Sith if you consider she said "I will not leave you, not this time."
I like that Maul is going to add another wrinkle into season 3. It'll be interesting how Ezras future is played out next season.
