Spoiler!
Yea it's interesting because before Vader wanted to hunt them because they were Jedi, but he had other priorities elsewhere. Now we have a full hunt for that holocron that will keep the Rebels on their toes. It really sets up the tone of building that rivalry between Vader and the Rebels we see in ANH, makes it more personal (besides his family obviously).
I thought it was fitting that Kanaan puts on the mask of a Jedi Temple Guard as he shows his skills, the skills he earned and has the right to wear that mask. Maul looked as you said to eager, he was impatient and just pure anger and it cost him.
I loved the show down between Asohka and Vader, just got a tiny glimmer of Anakin once the mask was destroyed, just a slight pause I wouldn't even call it a hesitation before he knows what he must do. Really shows how far he has gone and how powerful he is right now.
I wonder if the deaths of the inquisitors will be the end of them, as you said the helicopter light sabers was a little lame. I hope if they do bring more around there is some meaning behind them instead of just randomly appearing Inquisitors. I'd rather see some Royal Guard Champion type enemies, the elite of the elite Royal Guards that actually received force training. Maybe combine then with some bounty hunters (Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, Boba etc..) But at the same time, as we learned from the original one, they are actually Jedi that were turned to fight for the dark.. so that is cool. But perhaps the lack of Inquisitors also would signify to us that they have in fact hunted the Jedi to the ends of the universe and Ezra/Kanaan are the only two still openly defying the Empire.
Can't wait for next season! Especially since it will be something to keep us excited leading into Rogue One.
