Yes, conspiracy. Dude, face facts. In terms of supplemental discipline, this is a very simple incident - albeit an egregious one. It does not have the complexities of involving abuse of an official or the issue of concussions or the politics involved with both.
So whatever Keith gets out of this, any appeals process will be inherently easier to adjudicate, and therefore will go faster. More to the point, it is very unlikely - unless the league really does throw the book at Keith - that they will even seriously appeal a suspension.
They aren't the same scenario. So while feeling hard done by over Wideman's suspension is certainly en vogue around here, it really doesn't factor.
