And if Treliving made this a priority they wouldn't still be negotiating about bonuses. He's made him a priority IF Jankowski wants to sign under his terms.

The fact that they still are negotiating means that Treliving considers this a priority. He wants to get this done. He dispatched a negotiating team to meet with the player at the earliest possible moment. Seems like that is a priority move to me, and that isn't baseless speculation, that's based on the actions of the hockey club.
