I heard that it would have been close to double the price to add the roof on it, even with the way they are building the roof. By the time they want to do it, people will just whine and say it's old, why not build a new one.
My 2 cents is the roof should have been built as the power that be will regret it in the end. At least if it was indoor with roof, they would have attracted some music acts that divert to Saskatoon instead. Then they could have used it more than 10 times a year...
I have heard that the people that designed it visited alot of the newest stadiums in Canada and the States and took a bunch of ideas for designing the facilities through them. I'm excited to see what it finally looks like, even though I'd rather watch paint dry then watch CFL.
