Gilmour and Tom Parisi have both been solid, reliable defencemen for the last four years at Providence. Gilmour had slightly better offensive numbers than Parisi.
Parisi was just signed by the Habs to an ELC that kicks in next season, and he'll play out the rest of the year on an ATO in St John's.
I expect the Flames will offer the same deal to Gilmour.
