If it signs for this season, it will run from 2015-17. In 2017-18 he will be eligible to pass to the AHL without requiring waivers, but will be on a normal contract like Bill Arnold.

I thought Jankowski's birthday was just after the 15th, I was thinking about the draft and him almost being ineligible and got mixed and was thinking if he was a week older he'd have been ineligible but it was a week later and he'd have been eligible for the following year
