It was a no brainier because Bennett helped you win games and gave you the best chance to win. If Hartley and/or Treliving and/or Burke made the call to sit him based on contract, he should/would have been sacked.

A bit of a difference imo, we were losing the series when Bennetts 10th game came up. We absolutely needed him. Might think differently if you are up 3-0 or even 3-1 in the series. Also it meant Bennett couldn't play anymore games in the playoffs, with Russell they could "potentially" sit him for 1 final game in West final, if it equaled less than 50% & then just played him again in the Cup finals.
