Yeah agreed. This should really push A)The need to step forward right away while physical evidence still remains. and B) The need to tell the full truth of your encounters, regardless of how embarrassing or illogical your actions may have been. The court won't find irrational behavior of victims to be all that odd, but lying/withholding about it years later crushes their credibility.
