This budget is very difficult for me.

A certain amount of targeted stimulus is reasonable in my opinion given the prevailing economic conditions in energy producing provinces. But this budget doesn't do any of that. Extended EI in affected provinces? Right then. Don't confuse that change with anything more than lip service.

A $30Bn deficit is staggering. Staggering. Especially given the massive amount of that directed towards obscure initiatives. And the Canadian economy as a whole is GROWING. Growing slower, yes, but still growing. $30Bn is indefensible.

This budget reeks to me of reckless fiscal policy. We will regret this as a country for years.

What are we mortgaging our future for exactly? I'm sick to my stomach with the way our provincial and federal governments are conducting themselves.
