I'm a little confused by that. They don't give an actual indication of what the record is. All they mention is that it sold 90% of the tickets, but that's not really impressive considering all hype movies probably dominate pre-sales. No one buys presale tickets for Age of Adeline to avoid line ups. The only record that matters is whether or not it will break the advance Thursday record and that record is dubious at best.
