Wideman will be dealt and I doubt the Flames take on salary or a bad contract. Look at Yandle from NYR, he's a UFA and I'm sure more than one team will be interested in him, the team that doesn't get him will be looking for a replacement and getting a proven guy like Wideman on a one year deal for likely less than what Yandle will get doesn't look so bad.

The big issues are Stajan, Bolig, Raymond and Engelland. Smid will likely be on LTIR so he's not a concern. Those 5 guys count for almost 14 million in salary, if they can find a way to get out of those deals they'd be doing great. I really hope they buy out Stajan if they can't find someone to take him... The Flames really need to trim some of those guys from the roster this year.
