Edit: Just read more and it's two years of pro hockey which includes AHL. He might be available then depending on what they count this year as. Still, if he really the guy an expansion team will take? There will be other options out there.

This was a year of pro hockey. Next year will be a year of pro hockey. That's two. So he shouldn't be available.
