In the last round of expansion, the teams had to take a minimum of 3 goalies, 8 defencemen, and 13 forwards (first 24 picks). Then, they could take players from any position with their final two picks (there were 26 teams losing players at the time).
Minnesota ended up taking 4 goalies and Nashville took 5.
3 of the goalies Nashville claimed never played in the Predators organization. One was traded; one was claimed off waivers; and one was Mike Richter, who they claimed from the Rangers in the Draft, then he signed as a UFA with the Rangers days later (they received a compensatory draft pick for "losing" him to free agency).
Because teams don't receive compensation for losing UFAs anymore, we're unlikely to see any pending UFAs claimed in this round of expansion.
