The point that they found a certain particle which they had expected to find is not the confusing part of the article, I was simply making a general statement that science experiments/discoveries are becoming extremely complex.

The point I was making is that you asked how you find something that doesn't exist, which kinda goes to show that you didn't understand what the article was saying. That's cool, I was trying to explain it.

Or do you care to explain to me the basis you have for declaring that what they found doesn't exist?

Moreover, you're inplying that this research facility is making up results because they fear being closed down. If you have no idea what it is they claim to have discovered then what basis do you have for making this claim?

Finally, I'm not entirely sure how anyone could take
"the whole thing sounds bogus to me...convinient timing as well, with the lab in danger of being shut down" to be a general statement that these discoveries are becomming extremely complex.
