I don't think there are many D-men in the league that would not put up more points playing Flames hockey.
There is a reason that no other team has its defense play as though it was late in the 3rd period and the team was down 2 goals.
Karlsson might get 100 pts playing the Flames system.
The Flames have 3 out of the top 32 D-men in the league by ppg (minimum 20 games) no other team has more than 2 Kevin is knocking at the door trying to make it 4 and Wideman (#63 overall ppg) not that far off breaking into the top 30. last season he was #7.
According to the Norris voting criteria (scoring) the Flames defense as a group ranks as the clear #1 unit in the league. Standings suggest otherwise.
Dallas, for example, who as a team scores a lot more goals than the Flames and will get in some playoff games this year has 1 D-man in the top 32 ppg

Nashville gets more points from defensemen. They must be terrible too
