I think it may be better if that 90 seconds thing acts more like a chequered flag.

So that first 7 minutes, it's a flag, and if you start your flying lap before the flag falls, your time still counts, otherwise, your time is in.

But I agree, it is NOT working right now.

On the topic of letting the drivers race, I agree, they need to race!

I also think F1 need to do something to bring the teams closer together. The midfield is exciting to watch, but the front is mostly boring.
