Obviously it is wayyy down the road for canada, but here in italy, mobile phones are all 10 digit, plus a 4 digit prefix for country code... Plus a 3 digit prefix for continent.

If I call an italian mobile, 10 digits.
If I call a german mobile, 13 digits (or 14 if you dial 00 instead of +)
If someone calls me from NA, its 17 digits.

The strange thing is that old roman phone numbers can be 6 digits or 8.
